Dougal is an artist working and living in Gloucestershire. He works across media including performance, video, printmaking and predominately drawing.

Dougal’s drawings combine observation, memory and imagination, taking inspiration from archeological sites, artefacts and walks through the ancient and enigmatic landscapes of Britain where he lives. Piecing together relationships to place and plants, identity’s and histories and personal narratives his work is underpinned by notions of myth, local folklore and the concealed.

Following his BA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths (2017), Dougal graduated from The Royal Drawing School’s postgraduate scholarship program in 2022 where he was awarded the ACS Drawing prize.

He currently has works in the Royal Collection and private collections internationally.
